Heartland constantly works to improve medical transcription technologies to enhance ease-of-use, efficiency and rapid report delivery. Here are two technological advancements we currently have in development:

Automated Speech Recognition: Heartland is fully integrating a state-of-the-art speech recognition and translation platform into our GEMSTAR™ transcription system. This self-learning speech-to-text solution maintains the structure of the transcribed medical report and enables higher productivity, increased accuracy and faster turnaround times.

Remote Transcription Software: By adding remote transcription capabilities to our GEMSTAR system, we will be able to tap into an expanded pool of experienced transcriptionists in multiple specialty areas – with the timing advantages of flexible shifts. The combination of a talented, accessible workforce plus GEMSTAR’s proven Word-based text editor and embedded voice player will help increase quality, flexibility and productivity.
